Catherine Chambers is a London based artist whose current practice is principally focused on intricate pencil drawings. She draws from the environment around her: land, people and possessions.
“I am interested in the nature of our being and our relationship with our ancestry, our environment and others known and unknown to us. Man-made artefacts and other found objects that once might have been revered are often initial sources of my work.”
Catherine graduated from the University of the West of England in 2012 with a 2:1 BA (hons) in Drawing and Applied Arts. Since graduating she has taught art in schools, run workshops, facilitated community projects, worked on commissions, and exhibited in group and solo shows.
